Campocorto was born from Marco Monnecchi’s deep love for this land. Born in 1938 and a true Grevigiano at heart, he left for the United States in 1958 after studying at the Liceo Artistico in Florence. There, he developed his artistic and graphic skills, and upon returning to Italy in the mid-1960s, he founded Centroprisma, a graphic design and advertising agency in Florence.
However, his connection to the land remained strong. In the 1980s, he purchased a plot of land with vines and olive trees, where he began to shape his vision—a project driven by passion, creativity, and experimentation. First, he built a house, then a small winery where he started producing his first bottles of wine.
Always mindful of preserving the land, nature, and its beauty, he enhanced its fruits over the years and meticulously cared for every step of the process—from vine and olive cultivation to the production and bottling of wine and oil, ensuring genuine products of the highest quality.
Today, this deep love for the land and dedication to its preservation is carried forward with the same spirit of curiosity and innovation by his son, Marcello, who is now leading Campocorto toward a new chapter of excellence.
